Aufgaben
  • The basis of the master's thesis is an existing model vehicle that is used for the pre-development of ADAS and AD functions that are developed in series at ESPRiT Engineering GmbH. The vehicle is equipped with a camera and lidar. Simple camera-based algorithms for object recognition are already implemented. Currently, all vehicle functions are implemented in Python. A JETSON TX2 from NVIDIA is used as the development platform.
  • The first step is to investigate which framework is suitable for implementation. One possible option could be ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • An extensive literature review of the state of the art regarding the use of ROS and other comparable frameworks in the automotive sector, taking into account the AUTOSAR standard, should be carried out.
  • Selection of a suitable framework based on previously defined requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Implementation of the framework on the development platform.
  • Implementation of the existing ECU software in AUTOSAR. To do this, the installed sensors, actuators and implemented vehicle functions must be considered.
  • Testing and demonstration of the converted development platform by means of a previously agreed road test.
  • Finally, possibilities for further optimization of the selected development platform should be identified.
Qualifikationen
  • Enrollment in a technical, scientific or similar university program with consistently above-average grades
